FREE Heavy Highway Trades Academy

IYT Mentor Fellowship Program

Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT) is seeking to fill two positions available through their Mentor Fellowship Program which allows candidates to be AmeriCorps members at their school site providing mentorship to young men of color. IYT is a non-profit organization that has a mission to increase the number of young men of color to attend and graduate from college and universities. CMC Manufacturing Free Job Training

California Mobility Center (CMC) will instruct a Training Session that starts on Monday, January 30, 2023. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9am to 3:30pm, and is located at 8351 Luzon Ave., Sacramento 95828. CMC will provide lunch for the participants, and a bonus stipend will be given to those that complete all the units. We are conducting this training in English and Farsi/Pashto in parallel. We will expand to other languages once we have more instructors trained. This training can be used for entry-level manufacturing jobs or related industry sectors like infrastructure (construction and utilities) and transportation (mechanics). Essentially, any position that requires knowledge of hands tools, power tools, technical documentation, machine operation, electronics, soldering, and/or quality.
