The Grow Your Own Mental/Behavioral Health Talent Internship Program has available internship opportunities for diverse, under-served populations to obtain career opportunities in the Mental/Behavioral Health field.

We have 25 available Internship positions, paying $15/hour for 200 hours.
Academic internship credit may be available through your University

Internship Requirements

  • Age 18 to 30
  • Must be able to complete 200 internship hours by December 2022
  • Have relevant lived experience
  • Enrolled in a Mental/Behavioral Health-related program of study at a participating institute of higher education (e.g. community college or university), or have completed a peer specialist training program through a community-based organization
  • Have Right-to-Work documents such as a California Drivers License and Social Security Card
  • Selective Service Registration, if applicable (Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service—a requirement for any program supported by Federal funds)
