Empowering Small Businesses
Sacramento Works’ Business Information Centers (BIC’s) helps small and start-up businesses access the information, tools and guidance every entrepreneur needs to ensure the success of his or her business. All of Sacramento Works’ BIC services are low cost to free.

Business Information
Through the BIC’s, you have access to an extensive library of business information to help manage your business. You can benefit from the large selection of resources at the business library that will help guide you through the many challenges facing your small business.

Workshops and Seminars
In addition to the many services offered to employers through the Business Information Center, there is also a large selection of workshops and seminars on various business and management topics including:

The Sacramento Training and Response Team (START) is a partnership of regional economic development, business, education, labor, and government organizations dedicated to making it easy for businesses to locate or expand in the greater Sacramento Metropolitan Area. The START team provides services to businesses located in six counties: El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba.

Our services include one-stop convenience for all of your regional area employment needs including:

  • Recruiting, screening, and referring qualified employees
  • Offering practical information on tax credits, enterprise zones, and training wage reimbursements
