CA State Virtual Open House Career Fair

YoloWorks, CA Department of Public Health (CDPH) and CA Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) are conducting a Virtual Open House Career Fair on Friday. Bitwise Web Design Pre-Apprenticeship

Bitwise Workforce Training (in partnership with Butte County Office of Education, SMUD and  Back 2 Work), is teaching a Pre-Apprenticeship course in Web Development.  All classes are hands-on project-based learning, and designed to accommodate all learning styles.  The 14-week pre-apprenticeship course will equip individuals with the necessary skills, confidence and clarity for their career direction.  Also, completing the pre-apprenticeship course can earn you a spot in Bitwise’s Apprenticeship Program which is designed to bridge the gap between learning and working in the tech industry.  Participants in this paid apprentice program work on real projects under the supervision of seasoned technical leads.

The Sacramento cohort info sessions will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.; and, on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  To sign-up for an info session, contact Jessica Estrada at: jestrada@bcoe.org.  For further details on this pre-apprenticeship, please read the flyer Bitwise Web Development and visit the website Bitwiseindustries.com.

SCOE Hosts an Artist and Mentor Event

The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), Mentor California and My Brother’s Keeper California (MBK) present an Artist and Mentor Mixer event on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4PM to 7PM at the Brickhouse Gallery & Art Complex, 2837 36th St., Sacramento 95817.  SCOE is seeking potential partnership opportunities with artists and mentors that will build meaningful relationships for youth through mentoring programs and the arts.
