Fruitridge Career Center Virtual Job Talk

BE A HERO – PERSONAL CARE WORKERS ARE NEEDED.  Attend this virtual Job Talk presentation by the Fruitridge Career Center on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11AM via Zoom.  Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) assist the disabled with an array of activities:  Bathing, Toileting, Dressing, Dispensing & Managing Medications, Bed Transfers (Total & Assisting), Feeding & Cooking, Help with Exercise & Mobility, House Cleaning & Laundry, Care for Pets, Transportation for Appointments, Shopping & Pick-Ups and Companionship & Emotional Support.  The benefits include $15 per hour, flexible hours including overnight if desired, and suited for students or people who want a second income.   To apply – Create a Profile on CalJobs at www.caljobs.ca.gov, then call 916-435-6760 for Zoom link.

ACC Senior Services In-Person Career Fair

ACC Senior Services (ACC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides an array of wellness/well being accommodations to elder persons, including Transportation for Seniors, Meals on Wheels, Caregiver Support Services, and Senior Job Training Programs.  On Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 11AM to 3PM, ACC and the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) will host an in-person Job Fair at 7334 Park City Dr., Sacramento 95831 (916.394.6399).  Admission is FREE!  Many career options and paths will be presented at this event.  Please read this flyer for further details and to RSVP, SCSEP Flyer.  The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service, and work-based, job training program for older Americans authorized by the Older Americans Act. This federal Dept. of Labor program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors.  Participants also have access to employment assistance through American Job Centers (Sacramento Works AJCCs).

Multi-Day Virtual/In-Person Hiring Events

Bitwise Web Design Pre-Apprenticeship

Bitwise Workforce Training (in partnership with Butte County Office of Education, SMUD and  Back 2 Work), is teaching a Pre-Apprenticeship course in Web Development.  All classes are hands-on project-based learning, and designed to accommodate all learning styles.  The 14-week pre-apprenticeship course will equip individuals with the necessary skills, confidence and clarity for their career direction.  Also, completing the pre-apprenticeship course can earn you a spot in Bitwise’s Apprenticeship Program which is designed to bridge the gap between learning and working in the tech industry.  Participants in this paid apprentice program work on real projects under the supervision of seasoned technical leads.
