IYT Paid Fellowship Opportunity

Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT) is accepting applications throughout the month of June 2022 for its year-long paid fellowships being offered to college students and early career professionals of all genders.  IYT’s Mentor Fellowship Program is a year-long opportunity for diverse college students to develop strong, innovative, and empathetic leadership skills.  For further details about the fellowships, go to our website: improveyourtomorrow.org/mentorfellowship, click “Apply” and fill out an Interest Form.  Our outreach team will contact you with application info.  When you become an IYT Mentor you’ll help students access resources, navigate challenges, and strive toward their goals.  You also become part of the AmeriCorps Volunteer Network (benefits include Biweekly Living Allowance, Education Award upon completion of program requirements, Student Loan Deferment (for all loans that qualify)), and the Employers of National Service jobs network.  These associations connect mentors to over 600 employers across every sector that highly value and recruit AmeriCorps service members after their year of service.

Pacific ADA Disability and Etiquette Training          SETA’s Disability Services Team will host Disability & Etiquette Training on June 24, 2022 from 9:00am to 11:00am.  Jan Garrett, with the Pacific ADA Center, will facilitate this two-hour training.  This training may appear to be geared towards partners/staff of SETA, however this training can be extremely beneficial to anyone who serves the public – including front desk, teaching, and administrative staff.  See attached flyer for details Disability Etiquette Training Flier 2022.   Please RSVP so we’ll have an idea of attendance.  RSVPs can be sent by supervisors/managers for SETA or Head Start participating team members.  Supervisors/Managers can simply send an email with the number of team members that are planning on attending.  Sign up today with an email to savina.beltran@seta.net.  I will send out a reminder of the training as the date approaches.  The Pacific ADA Center provides information, training, guidance, and materials on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
