FTB IS HIRING & TRAINING TAX TECHS

The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) is Hiring and Training Tax Technicians (Permanent Intermittent positions).  This CalCareers listing (JC#364437) has a Final Filing Date of 5PM on 5/1/2023.  Please read this job announcement Tax Technician PI JC-364437 for complete job details and to Apply.  The FTB uses Permanent Intermittent positions during the Tax Seasons to assist with increased workloads.  FAQs for this position are – What does a Tax Technician do?   Tax Technicians are used throughout the department, primarily in customer service roles in our call centers.  In the Filing Division, tax technicians respond to taxpayers with general and complex tax questions. – Do I need to know how to do taxes?   No, we provide all the training you will need, however if you do have previous experience, it will be helpful. – Can I apply for multiple tax technician positions if they are open?   Yes, and you will be offered according to how high you score for each job. The more you apply for, the better chance you will have. – Is it OK if I apply for the Permanent Intermittent and still apply for Permanent Full Time?   Yes, each area has a different workload so working Permanent Intermittent allows you to see this and decide which one you may like.  For other questions, please email them to contactcenterrecruit@ftb.ca.gov.
