Computer Basics FREE CLASSES at FCAS

Computer Basics FREE CLASSES will be offered by the Folsom Cordova Adult School (FCAS) in their Spring session.  The course lasts 10 weeks and is 40 hours.  All classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Spring Classes are from February 27, 2023 to May 17, 2023.  The Computer Basics program includes four step-by-step classes described in this flyer 2022-2023 ALL CTE COURSE OFFERED.

Introduction to Keyboarding – is perfect for anyone new to keyboarding or who needs to improve their keyboarding skills/speed to obtain a typing certificate. Students will learn correct ergonomics to combat fatigue and develop correct keyboarding techniques.  No prerequisites required.  Build a foundation for a new office administration career by exceling in, and completing, these courses.

Daily Job Search Series @Mark Sanders

Off-Base Transition Training for Veterans

Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) is an extension of the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Transition Assistance Program.  The OBTT consists of numerous short workshops (such as, Job Search Techniques, Resume Essentials, Interview Skills, Federal Hiring, Employment Rights, and more), that are FREE and can be taken in-person or online.  This employment-focused training is for veterans, including those currently serving in the Reserves and National Guard; and, their spouses.  Register for OBTT workshops at dol.gov/obttworkshops.  Please read this flyer for a QR Code to scan Approved OBTT Flyer with QR.  For more information or questions, email VETS-OBTT@dol.gov.

MS Office Specialist Certification Program

America’s Job Center of California - Folsom Cordova 10826 Gadsten Way, Rancho Cordova, CA

Folsom Cordova Adult School is presenting a MSOffice Specialist Certification Program beginning Thursday, February 9, 2023 to April 21, 2023, at 10850 Gadsten Way, Rancho Cordova 95670.  The 4-Course, 9-Week (135 hour) Certification Program will be taught Monday to Friday from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.  The courses in the Certification Program (MS Word, MS Excel (3/6 to 3/24/23), Computer Tech (3/27 to 3/31/23) and PowerPoint (4/11 to 4/21/23) cost $700; although, courses may be taken, and paid for, individually.  Students must complete ALL four courses to receive a Certification.   Please read this flyer for course descriptions, a QR Code to Register, and more details about the program, MS Office 2022-23.
